Workshop concept
The proposed day-long session was designed to help writers and producers find character, conflict and humour in climate-related stories. It was intended to be followed by a national call for short comedy and drama pitches.
Creative aim
The wider purpose was to challenge the idea that climate change must always be presented as remote, technical or relentlessly bleak. The network saw it as material for complex human stories — including satire, family drama, social conflict and tragicomedy.
Industry interest
At the time, the project recorded interest from organisations including Creative England, Directors UK and the National Film and Television School.
